They're thinking much bigger -- cineplex bigger.
With former Marvel execs on their side and a "Rio" tie-in already under their belts, the birds look ready to take the box office.
But let's face it -- even the most popular video games don't always translate well.
John Leguizamo would rather you didn't bring up 1993's "Super Mario Bros.," which made back less than half its $42 million budget.
In 1994, "Street Fighter" did respectable business, grossing just shy of $100 million.
"Mortal Kombat" made a $122 million killing in 1995.
